When will Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Pokemon BDSP move to Pokemon Home?
Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl players have been waiting patiently for word on when they will be able to transfer Pokemon to Pokemon Home.
What is Pokemon Home?
Like the Nintendo 3DS' Pokemon Bank, Pokemon Home is a cloud service that lets you store Pokemon you've captured over the years in one place and transfer them between compatible games. The service also offers a number of accessibility features, including the ability to trade Pokemon with other players, view details on your monsters, and view battle stats for Pokemon Sword and Shield matches you've participated in.
How much does Pokemon Home cost?
Pokemon Home has two plans: Free and Premium.
The free tier provides access to most of the service's features, albeit in limited capacity. With this program, you can only store up to 30 Pokémon on the Service, and only one Pokémon at a time on the Global Trade System.
On the other hand, the premium tier offers more storage space. This plan can store up to 6,000 Pokémon, and the global trade system can store up to 3 monsters at a time. Transferring Pokemon from Pokemon Bank on the 3DS also requires a premium plan.
Pokemon Home's premium plan offers three different payment methods:
One month - $3
3 months - $5
12 months - $16
Which games are compatible with Pokemon Home?
Currently, Pokemon Home is compatible with Pokemon Go and the following Nintendo Switch games:
Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Let's Go, Eevee
In the future, the service will add support for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games.
With the ability to transfer Pokemon from the Pokemon Bank, Pokemon Home can also store monsters from the following 3DS games:
Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire
Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (Virtual Console version)
Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal (Virtual Console version)
Pokemon Home is available on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, and each version of the service has some unique features and capabilities.
Game Freak and ILCA previously confirmed that the option will be available to players, although developers seem to have a hard time applying the feature. According to a new post on Twitter by @CentroLeaks, the two companies are "making good progress," although a release date is not yet known. The account also revealed other potential details, though readers should take all of them with a grain of salt:
Pokemon Home will feature the Hisuian version of Poke Balls from Legends: Arceus.
Compatible Pokemon obtained in Legends: Arceus or Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will have their moves removed when moved to an older game and replaced with "standard moves for that level of the target game".
As we saw with Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon obtained from Pokemon Go will be transferable to Legends: Arceus and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
The only restriction on transfers is "Pokémon must exist in the target game", which means Scyther can transfer to Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, but Kleavor cannot.
