Festival of Lights Returns to Pokémon GO with Exclusive Event for Trainers in India!

Niantic has officially announced the return of the Festival of Lights event to Pokémon GO, running from Friday, November 1, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, November 4, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This year's celebration is set to be extra special, as the event will be exclusively available for Trainers in India.

The Festival of Lights has always been a radiant time in the Pokémon GO world, but this year promises to shine even brighter with the debut of a mystery regional costumed Pokémon, which will bring a stylish twist to the festivities. The details of this Pokémon will be revealed on October 16, so stay tuned for further updates!

Event Highlights

Bonus Rewards

Trainers can look forward to some amazing bonuses during the event, including:

2× Stardust for catching Pokémon
2× XP for catching Pokémon
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
Team GO Rocket balloons appearing every two hours and more frequent Team GO Rocket Grunts at PokéStops

Increased Incense Encounters

Throughout the event, certain Pokémon will be attracted to Incense more frequently, with a glowing effect. Pokémon such as Alolan Geodude, Hisuian Voltorb, Slugma, Volbeat, Illumise, Litwick, Morelull, and Tadbulb will appear more often when using Incense. Lucky Trainers may even encounter their Shiny forms!

Raids and Field Research Tasks

Additionally, Pokémon like Hisuian Voltorb, Dedenne, and Morelull will be appearing in raids, with Shiny versions possible. Festival of Lights-themed Field Research tasks will also be available, offering encounters with Morelull and Tadbulb.
