Shiny Gimmighoul Raid Event Duration
From August 8th at 5:00 p.m. PDT until August 22nd at 4:59 p.m. PDT, Chest Form Gimmighoul will appear in 1 to 5-star Tera Raid Battles. Known as the Coin Chest Pokémon, Gimmighoul will showcase a variety of Tera Types, offering a unique challenge for Trainers. If you're lucky enough to take on a 5-star Tera Raid Battle, you might even encounter a Shiny Chest Form Gimmighoul—a rare sight you won't want to miss!
How to Unlock Tera Raid Battles
To access different levels of Tera Raid Battles:
1& 2-Star: Available after completing the tutorial.
3-Star: Requires 3 Gym Badges.
4-Star: Requires 7 Gym Badges.
5-Star: Unlock after completing the main story and seeing the credits roll.
What to Expect in Battle
Chest Form Gimmighoul will have different levels depending on the star rating of the Tera Raid Battle:
1-Star (Level 12): Moves: Tackle, Astonish.
2-Star (Level 20): Moves: Tackle, Astonish, Hex.
3-Star (Level 35): Moves: Tackle, Astonish, Hex, Power Gem.
4-Star (Level 45): Moves: Take Down, Astonish, Hex, Power Gem.
5-Star (Level 75): Moves: Take Down, Shadow Ball, Hex, Power Gem.
The ability Rattled is consistent across all star levels, and Gimmighoul will have one of the 18 possible Tera Types.
Shiny Gimmighoul Differences
Shiny Gimmighoul and Regular Gimmighoul are almost identical in the Tera Raid! The color of the chest is the same, the only visible difference is the difference in the body. The shiny body is White, while the regular body is Gray.
It should be noted that colors and shading are distorted slightly during Tera Raid Battles, and there is no shiny animation! Trainers needs to have a keen eye for this raid, and we suggest that you catch all the Gimmighoul encountered and check after.
How to Hunt Shiny Gimmighoul in Tera Raids Battle

To improve your chances, first you should focus on the 5-Star Gimmighoul Raids that have spawned and check for a shiny. As mentioned above, There is difference between Shiny Gimmighoul and Regular Gimmighoul. Therefore, when checking for a shiny Gimmighoul, it's essential to pay attention to slight changes in body color.
When it comes to the battle against it, it is recommended you use Annihilape. Annihilape's Rage Fist will make quick work of Ghost Tera Gimmighoul, while the combination of Drain Punch and Ragefist is guaranteed to be effective against the remaining Types. Using Annihilape during the Gimmighoul Tera Raid is rather simple.
