7-Star Emboar Tera Raid Event in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players have an exciting opportunity to catch the Mega Fire Pig Pokémon Emboar during a special 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battle event. This powerful Tera Type Electric Emboar will make its first appearance from June 14th at midnight (UTC) until June 16th at 11:59pm (UTC), with a second run from June 21st at midnight (UTC) until June 23rd at 11:59pm (UTC). Additionally, Blissey will be more frequently spotted in 5-star Tera Raid Battles during the second weekend of this event.

In this event, Emboar is featured with the Electric Tera Type and maintains the same mark, Ability, and moves for both appearances. Players should be aware that they can only catch this Emboar once per save data, so those who manage to capture it during the first run will not be able to do so again during the second run. Although Emboar is not typically found in Paldea, its pre-evolution Tepig can be found in the Canyon Biome and the Chargestone Cavern in the Blueberry Academy Terarium after increasing biodiversity in the Canyon Biome. This powerful Emboar may reappear in future events or be encountered differently later on.

Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles feature much stronger Pokémon than regular Tera Raid Battles and offer better rewards. As with previous appearances, the Blissey showing up in the second week of this event will be available in both game versions and come in a wide array of Tera Types, including rare ones for this species. Defeating Blissey grants various items like Tera Shards and bonus Exp. Candies. Occasionally, trainers might even encounter a Blissey that awards a large number of additional Tera Shards from different Tera Types upon defeat. 

Preparation Tips

Recommended Pokémon: Use Water, Rock, and Ground-type Pokémon to counter Emboar's Fire Tera Type.

Level & EV Training: Ensure your Pokémon are at level 100 with maxed-out EVs in relevant stats to withstand and deal significant damage.

Moves: Equip your Pokémon with moves that are super effective against Fire-type. Additionally, status moves like Hypnosis or Thunder Wave can be useful for crowd control.

Abilities & Items: Pokémon with abilities that reduce Fire-type damage or boost your own types' effectiveness are advantageous. Items like Leftovers or type-boosting items (e.g., Mystic Water for Water types) can be very helpful.
